J. Checks cooking surfaces exhaust hoods and oven. Properly washes/cleans and maintains in a safe manner. K. Disposes of garbage daily sanitizing containers and lids. L. Checks plastic ware, china, glassware or other similar items for ships or cracks. Places in a box to be picked up and removed from inventory in accordance with policy/procedure of UCP Residential Services. M. Reports any problem with equipment used by residents to supervisor. N. Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, kitchen, and telephones daily in accordance with Personal Care Home guidelines. III. Housekeeping Responsibilities A. Checks home and performs all daily household cleaning chores to include, but not limited to, inside windows, window sashes, blinds, mirrors, carpets, etc. B. Ensures that laundry is washed, ironed and properly put away daily. C. Other housekeeping responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. IV. Administrative Responsibilities A. Ensures compliance in the area of responsibility during assigned hours with local, state and federal rules and regulations applying to Personal Care Home and UCP Residential Services.
Every day is a little bit different. I'm not highly routinized, so I spend a lot of time wandering around New York City with my laptop in my bag, wondering where I'm going to end up next. It's a fairly idyllic life for someone who likes writing. GR: What do you read for pleasure? MG: I read lots of thrillers — everything from spy novels to Lee Child. I just read the new Stephen Hunter, which was fantastic. That's my secret vice, although it's hardly a vice; I really do enjoy that genre.
