I do not believe the family did it, and am almost mad that the brother was ever implicated. Before last night I had no clue and had never seen or heard of what a 'garrote' was, and I can almost say with complete certainty that I do not expect any 9 year old in this world to know what it is, how to make one, much less be driven to use one on their sibling. But back to why my late exposure to the case offers me what I believe to be a clearer lense on certain aspects of the case- the parents actions of dodging police interviews/interrogations and attorneying up was beyond frustrating to watch unfold. But people can be weird, people can be dumb, and people can be weird AND dumb AND innocent. In the last 24 hours I've had so many thoughts race through my head. I have 4 children (3 step, 1 bio) and I saw a lot of comments from the documentary on how the parents processed things... And I do have to say that although I think I would have done A LOT different from them, to try to put myself in Patsy or John's shoes, I have zero clue how it would effect me or my actions because I have never experienced anything within light years of that in my life.

– Anne M. Mulcahy Nap for the job you want, not the job you have which you are also napping at. If my boss knew how unproductive I am on Fridays, he wouldn't want me here either. – James Johnson Your profession is not what brings home your weekly paycheck, your profession is what you're put here on earth to do, with such passion and such intensity that it becomes spiritual in calling. – Vincent van Gogh 8 You should never be so involved with your position/job that when the position is gone your entire self image is gone with it. – Colin Powell 28 I used to work at McDonald's making minimum wage. You know what that means when someone pays you minimum wage? You know what your boss was trying to say? "Hey if I could pay you less, I would, but it's against the law. " – Chris Rock 44 A job is a safe place to hide from work. 7 Don't be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

So for all the people who think they are guilty because they did some things that make them look guilty as hell, I hear ya, but I don't think the same. Anyone who wants to chat more about them please feel free to message me because I want to know more than what 1 documentary provides, but for the sake of this post I won't go into every single thing that makes me believe what I do. What struck me most from the documentary and the very quick breeze through this subreddit was the house and where she was found. That the house was a labyrinth and she was found in the bowels of it. It was touched on in the documentary, but was SCREAMING in my head, that the person who did this knew the house/had been it before. They had to have known where JonBenet's room was, and where they knew they could take her and be hidden with a quick escape (basement window which by the way is also very hidden from view). The next thing that my mind kept building on was the Elizabeth Smart story, and that the 'homeless-handyman' who had previously worked on her family's home was who had kidnapped her; he knew their home, and who was where.

Not to mention, any home projects where they did their due diligence and had several people come out to just give them quotes on work they wanted done... The foreign male DNA found on JonBenet that has still not been tied to anyone is what solidifies me believing it WAS an intruder. The fact that it was never tied to anyone they knew, and the absolutely insane ransom note that was left, leads me even more to believe that this was a drifter nut-job who could have literally been hired one time to paint a wall in their house. (I can't remember the name of the documentary, but the story where a grown man robbed a bank with a contraption on his head which later blew up killing him... Was a case where a bipolar woman, who had the help of accomplices, wrote the most insanely long and complicated letter/set of directions for the poor guy they trapped- she was in a manic phase and was acting manic-y and wrote a manic-y long letter that defied all history of typical letters that had the same intent).
