The interviewer is either asking this because it's written down, like a bs general question to see how you respond, or they are actually curious. I'd give an honest answer about how your weakness is a commonality among people in the position you're applying for. Example: You're interviewing for a door to door position. Obviously many people have difficulties with confrontation or thinking on their feet so go that route. say something like "One of my greatest weaknesses used to be thinking on my feet in front of people. I found that this and that and this helped me and because of those efforts, i've seen myself having far more success in interactions where I would have previously failed. They see you've solved a problem that many of people in that position couldn't, aaand you gave them a solid answer. Hope that makes sense
