As the DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for keeping production stable and proactively identifying performance issues. This includes tracking statistics and managing alerts to deploying new hosts and debugging complex production issues. This is an important role that will call for you to be the first one to respond to outages and help the team understand the solutions to these incidents. You will have the technical and creative freedom to pursue the best solution for a specific product as you help manage the growth of our changing infrastructure. As an engineer for our engineers, you should be passionate about automation and be able to deliver a reliable and reproducible product. As part of our engineering team, we want you to help define our technology strategy and come up with solutions for our unique scalability and performance challenges to keep things running optimally 24/7 every day of the year. Experience in every area is helpful, but not strictly required. No wonder the place has now closed! Only good thing about it was the food Supervisor/Team Leader in Derby Intu Centre Not good... Working at Bagel Nash had it's pros and cons. There was hardly any stability and I actually lost my job due to redundancy. Sometimes you could be on your own for a whole 9-12 hours, other times you could only work 3 hours a week due to cuts on hours. Breaks were also on and off. I've done whole 12 hour Saturday shifts and shorter ones with another member of staff in for 4-6 hours with no break due to how busy it was and having no other member of staff to cover it. I didn't even get to leave to go to the toilet some shifts. I was given a promotion that was uncommon for my age group which was amazing, however I was on a considerably low wage for a supervisor, especially compared to another colleague who was promoted later. I asked for an explanation as to why it was so low and was told it was due to an age difference - blatant age discrimination. I was only given a proper hourly wage after enquiring about it to the area manager, however that took two weeks as myself and my manger were ignored.
